Me and My Blog
As a game player for years I have found that games have gotten more and more complicated over time. In my early days it was all about getting the right amount of english on the ball in Pong. Yea I played Pong when it first came out, on a small 12 inch, black and white TV (man, do I feel old). Then as time went by it was Asteroids and Galaxian. Then learning tricks for Space Invaders and the pattern for Pac-Man. Then computers came out to the public and it was birth of PC games. So as you can see I go way back, but I still enjoy the games. Although games over the years have become harder and more difficult to master and EVE Online is no different. EVE requires a bit more intelligence and understanding and not so much as dexterity and hand eye coordination. That’s why I am writing this Blog, as a way to pass some wisdom off to you the reader and to help flatten the learning curve.
So my Plan is to write up some adventures and explain a few things about EVE. Do some screen captures and videos to show you just what it looks like. Hopefully with this knowledge and a few tip and tricks I will be passing on, you will quickly understand some of the basics and even a few not so know techniques to help you in playing EVE.
I have been playing eve now for almost 2 years and with some help from friends and a lot of research into other sites (some of which are far behind the times and some that are very difficult to understand) I have come up with a fairly good knowledge base. I will be writing it up so that some of you can benefit from it. Now EVE is an ever changing thing so updates and changes are going to be common and you will have to try and watch for those. I will be setting up a subscription and be posting updates and new material as quickly as I can.
I also want to hear from you. Let me know what you want to know or if I need to explain something in more detail.
So for you that have never played EVE, or have just started I will be covering things like Character creation and your first tutorial missions also how to avoid a few traps. For those needing a few more details I will be cover things like Manufacturing and research, Mining and processing, and even touch on explorations with probes. Those a bit more advance corporations, alliances, and Personally Owned Stations (or POS’s) and working the market. Eventually I will work into ship set up and Player vs. EVE and Player vs. Player (PvE and PvP).
Untill then as they say in EVE, Fly safe.
